Silver Beach Provincial Park is located at the end of a long, gravel road at the head of Seymour Arm on Shuswap Lake. Its size and distance from Hwy 1 keep many visitors at bay. Check it out for yourself; it's worth it.

The park’s forest setting is lovely - Douglas fir interwoven with aspen. This part of Shuswap Lake is as blessed with sandy beaches. Silver Beach provides the ideal summer holiday for those whose interests are swimming, houseboating, scuba diving, fishing, water-skiing or just soaking up the sun. Explore the remains of Ogden, a thriving community during the gold rush of the late 1800s, now replaced by the quiet village of Seymour Arm.

Houseboaters come here to get away from it all. Paddle around the mouth of the Seymour River to watch the salmon spawn from mid-August to mid-September. As well known as the steelhead are the Kamloops Trout. Kamloops trout are a unique strain of trout that put on an eye-popping, acrobatic performance for fly-fishers skilled enough to hook one. These wild rainbow trout, native to central and south-central Interior regions of the province, are the prize in Silver Beach Provincial Park, at Seymour Arm at Shuswap Lake.

If you enjoy water sports - swimming, waterskiing, jet-skiing, scuba diving, boating, fishing and sailing, you may never want to leave. There are 35 vehicle/tent campsites at this park. Campground Dates with Full Services and Fees: May 1 - September 30. The park is open year round unless inaccessible due to weather conditions, especially during the off-season.

Although there are no boat launches within the park, there are many along Shuswap Lake, including facilities at nearby Shuswap Lake Provincial Park, Mara Provincial Park, and Herald Provincial Park. As well, privately owned marinas and the towns of Sicamous, Chase, Salmon Arm and Seymour Arm all have boat launches.

Silver Beach Provincial Park is located in the North Shuswap region of the Thompson Okanagan. Access is off the Trans-Canada Highway 1 at Squilax, travelling east on the paved Squilax-Anglemont Highway to St. Ives, and a further 26 miles (42 km) on gravel roads.
